I remember reading in a Sonik Death fanzine circa 1995, that Walter Becker (of yacht rock fav's Steely Dan) thought SY's Washing Machine was one of the best albums of '95. I wonder how "smooth" he thought the music was.

Imagine Ted Templeton producing the next SY album... pure bliss baby. pure bliss...

i made a post on yacht rock when i first found this board and it didn't get any response.

glad to see that it was just a poorly timed thread, and not an indication of sonic youth fans ignorance of the power of really smooth music....
