late night music

what music do you like to listen to late at night?

i want some music i can play around 2 or 3 am, when i'm usually alone on my computer. sometimes i put on interpol's turn on the bright lights, and i want something and kinda sounds like that album (ie, the guitars and the really rich, kind of glacial sound). its either totbl or sister/evol for me.

eta: loveless is pretty awesome, but i want something new.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.29.2006 11:35 PM

Nothing beats Loveless at night.

krastian 05.29.2006 11:40 PM

Miles Davis is always good.

I usually want to be w/ the Most High when listening to music late @ night, so I guess I'd go w/ some George Harrison, "All Things Must Pass".

We'll make this the "what are you listening to, late night edition" thread.

Right now, I'm listening to John Fahey- Live: 10/01/02

atari 2600 05.30.2006 12:42 AM

Twin Peaks soundtrack - Badalamenti w/ Julee Cruise
Eno & Fripp - Evening Star
Sonic Youth - Evol & Bad Moon Rising
Grateful Dead - Aoxomoxoa, live Dark Star or The Eleven or Space or something
maybe some mbv, tortoise or mogwai (good suggestions)

I usually listen to soft rock at night. Stuff I'm guessing many people here wouldn't be into.

Honestly, I like Wolf Eyes' Burned Mind at night... Really creepy, but makes me feel snug in my bed and covers; not sure why. :)

candymoan 05.30.2006 06:04 AM

any album, any song..

DemonBox 05.30.2006 11:27 AM

I dunno, I'll listen to anything, anytime. But, Jeff Buckley - Grace does for some reason sound better at night, umm, same with A Thousand Leaves.
