Got A New Pedal!!!!!!

$20 in a pawn shop. The only problems are the distort knob is a little scratchy and this thing takes 2 9volt batteries:eek:

Anyone ever owned/used one of these? I haven't used it yet as I just bought it today, just a little plug-n-strum to make sure it worked.

Edit: The bottom 2 knobs read Tone and Output, respectively.

iv never seen a DOD like that.....

You should bend it!

Sonic Youth 37 07.06.2006 03:34 PM

Ok, I've played it a little now. This thing is far and away my loudest pedal. The distortion sounds pretty much like my Ibanez Soundtank but this pedal allows for more sustain without additional volume boost. Unlike the Ibanez, which you can only get more sustain through a higher volume. The tone is very good, not alot of high range stuff, which I like. My only gripe is that I was hoping it would be more of a fuzz pedal than distortion, but for $20 I'm not complaining.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead,
Where can I read more about pedal 'bending'? Hook up some links, mang.

Glad you like the pedal, Sonic Youth 37. Good deal.

Anyone else got any remarks?

It looks huge. How big is it?

Post some sound samples if you can.

Sonic Youth 37 07.08.2006 08:32 PM

I'll post some samples tomorrow.

I don't know how old it is. But the model is discontinued. I'm guessing mid-80s as the period of manufacture.

It is by far my largest pedal (not counting my V-amp Amp Modeler floor unit). It is 5 1/2 inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall including the knobs.

You could ask for some info about it on harmonycentral if you want more specifics.

Thanks CHOUT, I'll give that a try!

hey looks great! I have never owned a pedal like that. if it wants 2x9v batteries sounds good! I have recently switched distortion adapters from 9v to 12v stabilized and they sound better!
