I don't know Throbbing Gristle too well really, (but by June, I will) but I have several friends who'll definately want to be there. So, yes.

MellySingsDoom 02.15.2009 05:53 PM

^^^Hurrah. I'm just praying that there's still tickets available by the time I get paid at the end of this month. Also - I'm thinking too of going to the BBC Radiophonic Workshop thingy at the Roundhouse.....

Nah, although I suppose I could heckle him in his native tongue.
There's still a long time to go until May... I wouldn't be surprised if The Jesus Lizard end up playing in London around that time.

edit: Ghostface Killah's playing the Scala on the 6th... dunno if he's any good just by himself though.

The Fall

+ Bobbie Peru

7:00pm - Wed 1st Apr 2009

One day when we all look back on our generation of bands, someone very wise will stand up and say, "the only band you could really truly trust throughout their entire career was The Fall."

Why? Simple, because as long as Mark E. Smith has air in his lungs and a chip on his shoulder, he will be making extraordinary sounding records and giving extremely odd live appearances. And like the late great John Peel said, the reason he always loved the Fall so much was because on every album (and there have been many) they are always different and always the same, and this dear punter is something to be celebrated.

THE JESUS LIZARD TO PLAY LONDON FORUM, 11TH MAY

Friday February 27, 2009
All Tomorrow’s Parties are extremely excited to present an exclusive show from THE JESUS LIZARD at London’s Kentish Town Forum on Monday 11th May.
Tickets for this show go on sale at 10am Monday 2nd March for £22.50 each from:

www.seetickets.com, www.wegottickets.com, www.gigantic.com, www.stargreen.com, www.ticket-text.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

This show will follow their appearance at the ATP: Fans Strike Back festival on May 8-10th at Butlin’s, Minehead (on sale now through atpfestival.com). The band’s shows at Minehead and London will be their only UK performances and are most likely to be the only time the re-united Lizard will ever perform in the UK.

The original line-up of David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly are taking part in this very limited reformation that begins with Minehead and London, and will end with a final appearance in Chicago in late November. These shows will be the Jesus Lizard’s first since disbanding in 1999 and the first in twelve years to feature the original storied quartet. As anyone who has experienced the Jesus Lizard live can attest, they are one of the most intense and visceral musical assemblies to ever stalk a stage. This fleeting reunion offers an incredible opportunity to either be blown away all over again or to immerse yourself in the sweaty power and driving mayhem for the very first time.
TICKETS ON SALE 10am MONDAY 2nd MARCH
