OFF THE WALL, first Lee LP song released

"Off The Wall", the first song from my LP "Between The Times & The Tides" is now up on Matador's site for listening. This track also comes out next week on vinyl+d/l on a low-priced Matador/True Panther sampler ($1.98!) called 'Intended Play'. It also goes up on iTunes next week. The album hits March 20... Check it out!

I am so excited for his solo record. Lee really seems to be bringing his A-game for this one and I'm thinking it's going to be some really strong stuff.

Wonderful song, too.

It's wonderful!

Cool track! i dunno why but to me it has this classic rock vibe to it thats nice... can't wait for the rest.

Magic Wheel Memory 01.14.2012 11:35 AM

Glad to see that you finally recorded a Michael Jackson cover, Lee! Long overdue... ;+)

Magic Wheel Memory 01.14.2012 11:53 AM

Just listened to it. Great tune! And yes, Scott, I agree that a few of the new tunes seem to have a classic rock vibe. I enjoy hearing that from an artist who is the master of the experimental and unconventional. This song would not sound out of place on a mainstream radio station.

Please play NYC again soon, Lee! It kills me that I missed last month's show in Brooklyn.

I thought the same thing. Classic rock. Somewhat psychedelic. Honestly, to me the lyrics could have been better, but the music is just great. Not what I expected. Really looking forward to this!

Derek 01.14.2012 02:43 PM

i wouldn't badmouth the song considering the guy behind the song and this entire board posted it

vulva 01.15.2012 12:12 AM

Who badmouthed it?

krischanski 01.15.2012 12:38 PM

Oh. Really. Classic Rock. I don't like.

evollove 01.15.2012 01:12 PM

The lesson is, I suppose, that this isn't going to sound like that playlist you made of Lee's SY songs. It's not good or bad.

If that's the way you're feeling...

This is breezy stuff, very like the mid-90s UK indie that i used to hear on radio 1 when i was 10 or 11 years old, in the nicest possible way. It's always a pleasure to hear Lee's singing voice.

RanaldoNecro 01.15.2012 11:33 PM

Can't wait for this!

Pink Noise 01.18.2012 10:29 PM

Nice..

Lee should play n Argentina.
