I can't agree on that signals is their last good album. Don't you like Grace Under Preassure and/or Hold your fire? They are my personal favourites.

In my opinion Grace Under is ok, but not great. There are few great songs (for example the opening song, I don´t remember the name) but mostly it is their new style that I don´t prefer much. Of course Signals is also more that new style as the older albums, but I think there are so great songs in Signals. My brother has Hold your fire, I listened it maybe ten times when it was realised, but I haven´t ever liked it. What I remembered that album there was no single good song, I think even Presto is better. Power Windows is also ok, but I like even their first album much more. I think Fly By Night and Caress Of steel is very much underrated, I like them a lot even they´re not as great as 2112-Hemispheres albums.

i picked it up on a whim for $5 since i like "red clay" quite a bit. dejohnette is absolutely on fire on it. i think it's as good as "red clay" perhaps even better with some more listens.

I don't know Red Clay either, but sounds like I'll have to check out both. Do you have Hubbard's album with Ilhan Mimaroglu? Because that's totally one of the ultimate pieces of underrated jazz weirdness if you don't...

I know I probably go on about Doom a groan inducing amount on here, but seriously, I'm being heavily reminded now that this is just straight up one of my all time favourite albums. The only thing that could conceivably take it out of the top 10 would be Operation Doomsday haha...
