Anyone ever feel guilty spending too much time on your computer?

I'm sitting here going back and forth between two message boards...completely unmotivated to get off my ass and do something.

Well I guess it's better than watching TV, since you get to practice typing...

Indeed. I troll job ads during this time to justify burning daylight in this fashion.

blastscenealibi 11.30.2006 04:13 PM

I'm on 2 boards, too. But I never feel guilty.

EMMAh 11.30.2006 04:13 PM

I do the exact same thing. Sometimes I try to watch TV but end up doing something else half way through what I'm watching.
I never intend to spend so much time on the computer, it just happens. Actually, I should probably shut this piece of shit down cause I'm getting picked up in a few minutes and need to get ready.

!@#$%! 11.30.2006 04:28 PM

guilty? of what?

gmku 11.30.2006 04:48 PM

only when the boss walks by...

Danny Himself 11.30.2006 05:26 PM

Not really. I do a lot on the computer. I learn AND play.

Tokolosh 11.30.2006 06:04 PM

I try to keep a balance between cyber space and reality, and I think I'm doing just fine.

Haha...I don't even do that. I find it way too depressing. I don't feel guilty as such but I hate that feeling that CHOUT seems to be familiar with where you are just flicking between a few boards not really posting anything and completely unable to get of your arse.

porkmarras 11.30.2006 06:16 PM

Spending time on my computer(as if i have a choice since i work on the internet) makes me a nicer person in real life.

Yep, the thing is I think I am compulsive in thinking I always have to be doing something productive...I rarely feel fine with sitting around, unless I just have had a busy day - doesn't help that I work nights so I don't always get to see my friends since I got to work when they are getting home.

CHOUT 11.30.2006 08:58 PM

Diesel, now I'm fully convinced you are a pirate.

Inhuman 11.30.2006 09:20 PM

I'm doing the same as the first 3 of you! Browsing 2 message boards and browse job ads. I'm in front of the computer at least 10 hours a day anyway, so I'm used to it.

schizophrenicroom 11.30.2006 09:31 PM

yeah. i don't spend too much time on it nowadays, but back a few months ago i spent three or four hours daily doing mostly nothing. i felt horrible about it.

You get used to it if it's your career, although I wouldn't imagine it's the healthiest thing. 10 hours used to kill me and now it's a piece of cake for me

Everyneurotic 12.01.2006 12:19 PM

not anymore since it's a big part of my dayjob now.

jon boy 12.01.2006 01:08 PM

the internet is bigger than tv now. both of them are bigger than jesus.

h8kurdt 12.01.2006 02:29 PM

Yeah sometimes, especially if I'm not doing anything, but i'm putting some cds on me iPod so I don't feel as bad.

lucyrulesok 12.01.2006 03:21 PM

Yeah, I definitely do...

king_buzzo 12.01.2006 03:30 PM
