anyone like this band? i've just started listening to em recently and i have to say i'm kinda liking their "lo-fi" done in a glossy hi-fi mannor..

any thoughts??

Yeah man these guys are great. I have been a fan since about may when I heard a few demos posted online.

Only recently heard them but I like what I heard!

I really like them it reminds me of shoegaze from the early 90s (more ride than mbv) but with better songwriters who use distortion as an enhancer instead of just covering up weak parts.I'm excited for this band i hope they get the attention they deserve.

I saw them live and they didn't blow me away... I'd check out the album but there's too much of a fuss about them

Think their new record is great.... Production is really well done, especially with how the bass sounds.

yeah, i like the album a lot. its easy to listen to, by yourself or sharing some brews with friends before you go to the bar/club/show or whatever.

Meh

I listened to 4 songs and got bored. Some flashes of coolness but overall...I dunno, IMO if there's any kind of music that seemed to have reached its full potential in its golden age, it's shoegaze. It just doesn't seem like anyone can expand upon the original idea. The closest any band has really come is Silversun Pickups, by having a keyboard player. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember any of the original shoegazers dabbling in synths enough to warrant having a full-time keyboardist...

finished listening to their debut. it's alright i guess.
suicide policeman, rose gives a lily and rubber are the only tracks i dig.

they have a cool sound but it just sounds completely immature sometimes.
they'll probably make a REALLY good album if they stay together long enough

Yeah, when I listen to their record, I can't help but think this is just a peak of what they can do. They have that "mind blowing second album" aura gazing over them, I think.

yeah yuck..very pleasantly suprised by the album. im liking it a hell of a lot. i had misconcieved preconceptions about it but on first listen i was pretty much hooked.....kinda like sleigh bells as well, didnt expect to like it as much as i do!

kind of threw me off......cause well...one can't believe this band reached it's PEAK after theirfirst album(not that it's not possible)
