If this man can't make money from his music then what must he do, go flip burgers etc? which raises the question: would the state and/or his manager then be guilty of supporting him? Should he live on welfare handouts? At which point are the government liable? there's no logic, where is the line drawn. The blog writer's clearly want revenge and to simply ruin this guy's life even though he's wholeheartedly apologised.

It's a similar situation to Ducktails and Alex Calder who incidentally make similar dream pop which raises a further question: what is with these jizz-jazzer's making chill un-offensive music and yet owning obnoxious offensive personalities?

Anyway, if you like Acid Ghost I'd recommend the aforementioned artists if you can get past the personal business. If you can't then there's always early Beach Fossils and early Diiv, but then the Diiv bassist was outed as being a bit of a racist so just be ready to cancel him and EQ the bass out for safe listening pleasure.

yeah it is a good question, speaking of drawing the line. I guess it depends on a full picture and circumstances of what actually happened speaking about whether to support the guy. according to each individual opinion/faith/conscience. I think few other girls came out and cofirmed similar experiences like the first one. obviously it seems like he had/has some problem/issues. not nice if that is the case and obviously it came back to him in that or another way. it seems he accepted it anyway and disappeared from the internet alltogether. I just hope he realizes he has issues and needs treatment if that should be a case. was he ever proven guilty?

me personaly? I did not support him anyway so... I do not feel guilty liking his stuff, it just that thought of what I know now messing with my head a bit while listen to his music. I have to admit I listened to few songs again today.

thanks very much for the tips I will check them out. hahaha, I will certainly not eq the bass out, hahaha, fair enough...

Jon Hamm Gets Burgled in the EELS Video for "Are We Alright Again"

EELS (the project of Mark Oliver Everett) released a new album, Earth to Dora, last month via E Works/[PIAS]. Now they have shared an amusing video for the album's "Are We Alright Again," which stars Jon Hamm, who is so lost in grooving out to the song on his headphones that he doesn't notice his house is being burgled.

[...] Everett had this to say about the video in a press release: "We could all use a little comfort from the past year. Perhaps this song can provide a little for you like it does for the guy in this video."

This again. Because it was a great immersive listen, but is just ambient enough to keep me going through my tedious interlinear translation process.

Thank you for the heads up. Though I haven’t found Jarvad 9: Geco, I do have Requiem For Recycled Earth in the queue for late night listening whilst at work.
