did you download this? I did. after spending the evening removing a win32.gen virus, Malwarebytes has just come back as reporting Wear the Horns as containing a "PUP.Optional.Installex" file.

so much for getting your diseases from porn....

I hadn't opened the file yet, so I don't think it was the source of my ills, but this is a pretty thorough way to remove any malware:

note: the PUP in Wear the Horns was a "possibly unwanted program" but didn't say what it was exactly. any program lurking with music files is DEFINITELY unwanted.

my viruii have left the building, and it's not even 9:30am, on a Sunday morning at that. there is no public life in this town.

the zip file was fine for me, no malware

I never unpacked the .zip, and despite running anti-virus scans consistently, nothing has ever shown up before.

that is, until my computer started shutting off at the same time each day, and I decided to look deeper.

the Malwarebytes Chameleon, which eludes viral defenses, was the first and only program to be able to detect and successfully quarantine whatever it was that was inside the .zip (and there WAS something inside of the .zip).

I highly suggest you look deeper, and if in fact there was nothing there for you, then, kudos; however, until you do, I wouldn't consider your machine secure.

again, I would follow EACH of the steps in the link that I provided, as these things tend to scatter themselves about your system.

just sayin'.
