Black Flag- Slip it in
|
Man, I haven't listened to Slip It In for ages. I had it taped off a friend but I think I've probably lost that copy now. I really like Black Coffee from that record.
Listening to 25th Century Quaker by Captain Beefheart at the moment. |
You gotta get Slip it In again. Easily Black Flags best album I reckon. Closely followed by My War. Been going through a phase of listening to Flag nearly everyday several times. One of those bands the more I listen to the more they make sense in my head

I have been listening to the self titled Royal Trux album a lot recently. THe one with Junkie Nurse on it. One of those records that I played a bit, filed away and am only really realising how great it is recently. Also, the first John Spencer Blues Explosion record has been inspiring similar feelings. |
A must have really. |

I'm playing the first s/t Royal Trux. Apparently there are two s/t ones. You're talking about the one with the bones on the cover, I think--and which I've ordered through my friendly local independent music store, along with Cats and Dogs. Great stuff that, like you said, is hard to appreciate on first listen but definitely grows on you. |
spiritualized-pure phase-let it flow!

Now I'm listening to some Jazz
The Dave Brubeck Quartet |
Sonic Protest 2006 compilation. Basically a compilation of stuff by artists that played at this years Sonic Protest festival. Stuff from The Skaters, Volcano the Bear, Don Caballero, Viki, Prurient, Tomutonttu, Panicsville, Zaimph, Hair Police, Magic is Kuntmaster and so on.
I was really surpised and delighted by the Panicsville and Magic is Kuntmaster stuff. 2 artists I hadn't heard before but want to investiagte further for sure. |
I love that record, Every-N.
