Nirvana's "Something In The Way" used in trailer for 'The Batman'

The Batman - DC FanDome Teaser

Kinda doubt this is what Kurt had in mind. On the other hand, the flick looks rather decent. Not that it was necessary; the Nolan films are all the character needs for the rest of eternity. Anyway, it's all about Courtney Hole going... KA-CHING!

some kind of Nirvana remix though.

hey Nolans Batman just got younger, haha. who plays him now? looks typical dark. I like Nolans take on Batman..

Didn't Courtney sell her rights to Nirvana a few years ago meaning she wouldn't get anything from this? I might be wrong, like.

Yeah, I like the way the melody was used at the end during the title card, but I’m generally not into this kind of thing.

That said, Something in the Way has been stuck in my head since I saw it.

Looks better than expected, but it also looks like a movie that doesn’t really need to exist because the Nolan movies exist.

This movie is inspired by The Long Halloween graphic novel, but so was Batman Begins. It also has a very Se7en aesthetic. I think you won't be able to escape the comparison's of Nolan's version of The Joker with Matt Reeves version of The Riddler. There's also something to be said about all these directors who have done Batman movies are trying to outdo each other in their "dark" version of The Dark Knight. Tim Burton's just wasn't dark enough Nolan said, and now Matt Reeves is like, oh let's go even darker.

Apparently Paul Dano is underneath that revamped Riddler costume.

ETA: By the way, that's another character previous actors have not only been lame at, they have completely misunderstood: Jim Carrey's Riddler, Jack Nicholson's Joker, George Clooney's Batman.

Eh, TBH the Riddler’s often pretty lame in the comics as well, in my opinion. Jim Carrey’s version was a disaster though, certainly.

And don't even get me started on Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face.

Yeah, that was a truly horrendous thing.

Villain qualities = being loud and stuff, generally acting like clowns, kinda like this one clown who was in this one Batman movie who was really just acting like extra-Jack Nicholsony Jack Nicholson.

Anyway… yeah, bad times all around. Just deeply horrible times to be a Batman fan.

One can hope this does something to make Riddler cool or threatening. I mean, it’s possible. But I swear to god I’ll lose my mind if it’s all just a misdirect and the fucking Joker is in the goddamn thing
