Dead-Air 12.05.2008 09:47 PM

"X-mas Rap" by the Treacherous Three is the only Christmas song that matters!

Pookie 12.05.2008 09:49 PM

The Elvis Christmas Album is top of the Pookie Towers playlist each Christmas.

EyeballGrowth 12.05.2008 10:25 PM

Don't forget Christmas in Hollis by Run D.M.C.

Glice 12.05.2008 10:35 PM

Hope you all burn in hell for your stupid holiday cheer.

This Is Not Here 12.06.2008 12:05 AM

Without now totally irrelevant and outdated recordings of the Beatles telling poor jokes and singing crap jingles I cannot ever enjoy Christmas again...

Death & the Maiden 12.06.2008 08:05 PM

Ramones - Merry Christmas (I Don't Wanna Fight Tonight)
Ed Kuepper - Little Fiddle (And the Ghost of Xmas Past)

Savage Clone 12.06.2008 08:19 PM

I loathe pretty much all Christmas music.
All of it.
Yes, even the James Brown Christmas album.
All of it.

Glice 12.06.2008 08:56 PM

It annoys me that I have to avoid playing the Low Christmas album at this time of year because Christmas albums are bad on principle.

Now, seasonal records - I've been feeling a bit industrial lately. Cold music for cold times, that's what I'm talking about.

✌➬ 12.06.2008 09:00 PM

What industrial artist have you been listening to Glice?

jennthebenn 12.06.2008 09:08 PM

the only Christmas music that actually matters.

Obviously neither of you listened to the Treacherous Three song.

Savage Clone 12.06.2008 10:24 PM

It still had "Xmas" in the title.

I'll make exceptions for non-secular, non-'pop' Christmas songs, as these are amazing. As soon as I have a tape>mp3 thingy I'll up some of the religious services of the Isle of Harris. Similar, but not that similar, but definitely amazing, and in Scotch Gaelic as well. Have you heard Missa Luba? You should download that now-ish, it's amazing.

there are countless parallels between the monastery driven, non-urban pre-medieval Christianity of both Ireland and Ethiopia. I would expect their music to have similar agreements in style and taste, both are the preservation of original Christian worship and theology.

In regards to the Ethiopian mezmuroch (religious music), my youth group at the Ethiopian church are going to perform these songs for the Timket (Feast of the Epiphany) celebration for a crowd of over 6,000! thats one hell of a gig!

Holycore when I'm opening my presents, followed by some Christ-fi after dinner.

Christmas day is more new wave of British urban deontological Quaker-fi (nwobudqf) for me.
