I know. I was just trying to add a little drama. Wrong, negative, selfish, idiotic drama.

I dreamed about Low last night. or rather 1/3 of them....
It was just Al that was touring Europe as Low, with two unknown people on bass and drums, who only knew like 10 songs to play

Let's hope that will never happen

OK, it's time for you fine cats to tell me whether the band's name MUST be always written all in caps or what...

Four hours from RIGHT NOW (2pm CST) on KUMD as part of the Live From Studio A Sessions

Severian 05.04.2016 10:45 AM

It doesn't matter, though the band seems to favor an all-cap style typography on most of their releases.

I actually have no earthly idea why I tend to write it in caps. None. Zero. I don't do that with anyone else, unless I'm using an acronym.

Maybe it's just that it's such a diminutive word for such a fucking awesome band, and I — subconsciously — think that people will know that I think the band is awesome if I give the impression of YELLING their name at people. ;)

I couldn't listen. They seem to offer an archive of past sessions, so maybe/hopefully it's just a matter of time before a streaming link appears.

Should be a matter of hours - the program from the day before is already there, and you can directly download an mp3 version.

Thanks for posting the link.

I thought the first recording I heard of, "Let's Stay Together" was live from a studio.....KXEP maybe? From before the album was released??

30 July in Leuven (Belgium) on a festival, it's a Saturday and headline for that day is Mark Lanegan Band. So this might be a festival I could attend, even if it was only for that day

Unfortunately the brown is already gone ...

Aloha friends,

The Temporary Residence 20th anniversary celebration rolls on! This time it comes in the form of a limited edition vinyl release of the ultra-rare Low album, The Exit Papers! While supplies last there is a dark brown colored vinyl version (edition of 500)!

Pre-order here: store.temporaryresidence.com/ products/trr276

LOW
The Exit Papers
LP / Limited Edition Colored Vinyl LP / Digital

THIS IS A PRE-ORDER! ITEM WILL SHIP ON OR AROUND SEPTEMBER 23, 2016!

At the turn of the 21st Century, sandwiched between two of their most iconic albums – Secret Name and Things We Lost In The Fire – Low released The Exit Papers as part of Temporary Residence Ltd.'s long-running CD subscription series, Travels In Constants. A sparse suite of six mostly instrumental pieces composed for a film that never existed, The Exit Papers still stands as Low's most haunting and experimental work. Originally released exclusively on CD in a scarce edition of only 1,000 copies, Low helps celebrate the 20th anniversary of Temporary Residence by finally releasing The Exit Papers on vinyl and all digital formats for the first time ever.

VINYL FORMAT INCLUDES MP3 DOWNLOAD COUPON INSIDE PACKAGE

I ordered the brown vinyl. The pic shows it's more caramel brown than turd brown, so more power to me. But man, September 23 — by then we could all be cyborgs. Or apes.

Bytor Peltor 08.17.2016 06:48 PM

I ordered my caramel wax yesterday......let the ape waiting begin!

I managed to change my order from black to brown :)
and ordered the new Mono at the same time, in silver & gold if I recall correctly.

hipster_bebop_junkie 08.18.2016 11:15 PM

Ordered the brown version as well. Looking forward to it, even though I have the CD. It's a haunting work, indeed. Considered by many as an experiment, but actually a fine example of Low's approach to soundtracking films. It's been obvious through the years that they are keen on playing this type of music... :)
