So when do we start hearing about the people who are getting ripped off on kickstarter? or how its used for money laundering? =

Some bands use this kind of fund raising to finance a new record but for a video?

Hey - I am Kelly, the director of the project but also the photographer of the Between the Times and Tides album cover. A group of us from Toronto are down in New York making the video and need the support to cover the many costs that are required to make a film (especially in a city that you do not live in). Thanks for checking out the page and help spread the word!

There are many projects on kickstarter and indie go-go. Including other technologies, patents, etc etc. Doesn't hurt to ask. I think it is good because sponsors can watch the progress of the project.
