An Italian comparing Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi to Donald Trump. Saying that when Berlusconi ran for Prime Minister many dismissed his run as a joke. Then he won. He too was called a misogynist, incredibly wealthy. Him getting into the politically arena was looked at as being absurd, but when he won he destroyed Italy's economy and his government was run by criminals says the writer.

But seriously, do any of you guys feel excited by the prospect of Bernie becoming president?

LifeDistortion 02.26.2016 05:36 PM

I don't know if Sanders will truthfully be able to achieve the big ideas he wants to achieve, but I'm sure not excited by Hillary Clinton, and frankly my big turn off to her is we don't live in a damn Monarchy, just because your a Clinton, or a Bush, doesn't mean you're owed the presidency.

The partisans seized Mussolini and Petacci. Fearing that the Nazis would again try to liberate the dictator, the partisans hid the pair in a remote farmhouse for the night. The following day, Mussolini and Petacci were removed from the house and driven to the small village of Giulino di Mezzegra on the shores of Lake Como. They were ordered to stand in front of a stone wall at the entrance to Villa Belmonte where both were executed by machine gun fire. The identity of the triggerman remains a point of contention, but it was likely communist partisan commander Walter Audisio.

There’s no uncertainty, however, about what happened to Mussolini’s body in the hours after his execution. In the pre-dawn hours of April 29 the corpses of Mussolini, Petacci and 14 fellow fascists were placed in a truck and dumped like garbage in Milan’s Piazzale Loreto, a deeply symbolic public square for the anti-fascist forces. There, eight months earlier, fascists acting under orders from Hitler’s SS publicly displayed the bodies of 15 executed partisans.

After Mussolini’s arrest in July 1943, jubilant crowds mutilated images of the dictator. Now, as the sun rose on the “Square of the Fifteen Martyrs,” residents of Milan had the chance to do the same thing, only this time for real. They hurled invectives and vegetables at the dictator’s corpse before kicking, beating and spitting upon it. One woman, deciding Mussolini wasn’t dead enough for her, emptied a pistol into the dictator’s body and shouted, “Five shots for my five assassinated sons!” The crowd then strung the bodies of Mussolini, Petacci and other fascists by their feet from the girders of a gasoline station in a corner of the square.

Not so much a monarchy as a banana republic where two ruling class families, at the head of the two ruling class parties (usually called Los Autenticos and Los Colorados), take turns in the presidential palace to create the illusion of democracy.

Inevitability doesn't mean much when you meet up with an assassin's bullet. I'm not saying I want that, even for a piece of shit like Trump. But if he keeps steamrolling his competitors in the primaries, the big $ boys behind the GOP won't hesitate to have him killed.

Steamrolling in 3 out of dozens of primaries? Its the primaries people! Lets at least wait until auper Tuesday before we let the media hyperbole distract us from the reality that none of this means shit until May and June.

Also even if Trump wins the primaries it's far from a given he'll win the election.

That's why I said if he keeps steamrolling his opponents. There are obviously a lot more primaries before things come to a head. I agree about media hyperbole. Every time I think the media can't sink any lower in their empty-headed, sensationalistic coverage of politics, they manage to hit a new low.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 02.28.2016 01:57 PM

Its funny the media haven't asked Trump a single legit question! Not even once!

The vice chairman of the DNC, Tulsi Gabbard, just resigned because she supports Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton.

Members of the DNC are required to be neutral in the primary season. Then again, Debbie Wasserman Schultz should resign as well because EVERYBODY knows she supports Hillary. Anyway, how about this:

Trump is well on his way to the 1,237 delegates he needs to be GOP nominee

"Something cataclysmic is going to have to happen — and soon, such as on Tuesday — to keep Trump from exceeding or being very close to the 1,237 delegates he needs to be the Republican Party’s nominee when the primaries end June 7."

Quote:

That would be a start, I guess. :D

You know what, fuck it, at this point I want Trump to be the nominee and that sack-o-shit Christie to be his VP mate, just so Hillary can wipe the fucking floor with them. And if THAT doesn't happen, then the United States has no possible redemption, ever.
