they are apart of nyc, snl should b ashamed to have never let sy graced the stage....unless sy dont want to bother with those corporate clowns....either way id like to see them on there freaking everyone out.

SNL has gotten a little bit better than it was a few years back. Sonic Youth should definitely play, but I am afraid they're not mainstream enough. I hardly ever like the bands the show books now. Although they are one of, if not the most important bands to come out of NYC in the past 25 years. So that should count for something.

Plenty of less popular bands than SY have played SNL. SY doesn't play because they are smart enough to know that SNL is horseshit.
