I have deleted all of my internet history and personal shit off of this thing. Other than the recycling bin, is there anywhere that my search history can be found by someone else? If so please tell my dumb ass how to get rid of it. I am thinking of not coming back here Monday. This place is making me insane! Thanks!

If you're on a work computer, chances are your ability to delete all traces are minimal - those parts of a computer are generally locked down. However, it's also a ball-ache, and I'd be surprised if anyone cares (that would certainly have been the case when I worked in IT). If it's a corporate internet, chances are they have logs of what's going in and out from your computer anyway and there's little you can do about it. But, without a decent reason to ask (low productivity, existing warnings) there's not much chance your boss would request that (or even know s/he could) and most IT departments won't do it unless they're not busy (unlikely) or hassled for a while (by which time you'll be back).

If it's a home computer, and you don't live with a moderate geek/ IT professional, there's minimal chance they'd bother finding your history as, from what I can gather (having never done it myself), it's a royal ball-ache.

THanks man! Im not leavin Ryan I want to leave work and I don't want them digging into my internet history. Its corporate so i think they must have a log of my internet actions. Our IT people are subcontracted out though, so i think someone in Canada would have to request it be done. I don't really care what they see i just dont want them trying to justify thier not paying me overtime for the 2 years i have been here by it. That is why I don't feel bad coming on here during work hours. They have wasted much more of my time than I have of thiers.

Honestly, I think you'll be fine. Most departments have a tenuous relationship to IT, and if they're subcontracted then it makes it twice as laborious to get done, when they're better off waiting to catch you shitting in their bins or something.

ccleaner, download that and run it as its get rid of lots old stuff you dont need and also makes things run a little faster.

CCleaner only gets rid of system registry entries - it's ok, but if it's a corporate computer you won't be able to either download it or run it as an administrator. Unless the IT department are useless. (Sorry to undermine you Jon).

Our IT department is definitly useless and I really dont think the cheap ass bastards will pay them to dig that far, but of course I am paranoid. Leave no stone unturned.

I think they actually put that cleaner program on here for me because i crash the e-mail so much. Which is ALL work shit this is the only personal use I take up from time to time.

no problrm, yeh i meant that ccleaner is good for home not work, they would never allow you to have that in most places i have worked.

I fucking finished this shit without quiting and they paid me some overtime. This a first in the history of this company. theuy have never paid anyone overtime.

I have sucessfully wasted 8 hours of company time on SYG. So they only owe me 20 hours now. I lOVE IT WHEN I'M SLOW. This is the reason I stay here. Goin home see yall tommorow.
