Called King's Approach, recorded live at somewhere. Anyhoo, enjoy if you haven't heard it yet.

Mrs. Butcher 03.01.2008 05:30 AM

they played this when i went to see them.

i don't think they'll ever match spiderland, but it's a decent enough song.

ZEROpumpkins 03.01.2008 05:35 AM

Yeah unfortunately no reunited band will ever make an album that was better than their old material. That's why people that don't like Beyond should stop complaining.

nicfit 03.01.2008 05:44 AM

fingers crossed for "go away white".

ZEROpumpkins 03.01.2008 05:46 AM

Good luck

But Beyond is better than a lot of older Dino.

I'd say Mission of Burma's new stuff is on par with their old stuff.

Mrs. Butcher 03.01.2008 11:37 AM

it's close run thing but i'd say Vs edges out OnoffON, I haven't heard the newer one yet.

Post Lou era, yeah. Sorry, I should have rephrased. I meant to say they won't make their best album.

atsonicpark 03.04.2008 02:26 AM

Maybe not breaking up, but after losing every single band member and there being a huge meltdown within the infrastructure for years, I must say the later period of Beefheart is better. The last 3 albums I mean.

I prefer the old Mission of Burma stuff definitely...

The worst reunion that I can think of right now was Helmet. SIZE MATTERS was just awful....

The Lung 03.04.2008 03:07 PM

They closed with that song both times I saw them and I really didn't like it. It's probably because I was pissed they weren't playing carol or anything off Tweez those bastards.

king_buzzo 03.04.2008 03:47 PM

Thank You.

:)

Haha it seems universal that everyone who has Tweez chooses Carol as their favourite song off it, myself included.

atsonicpark 03.05.2008 03:32 AM

all I want to say is.

PAST WHERE THEY PAINT THE HOUSES
PAST WHERE THEY PAINT THE HOUSES
PAST WHERE THEY PAINT THE HOUSES
PAST WHERE THEY PAINT THE HOUSES

PAST WHERE THEY PAINT THE HOUSES

And funnily enough, everyone always says that that's the best moment on Tweez. It's an OK record, just the sound quality always bugged me (and I'm a huge GBV fan). Spiderland is much, much better.
