Sonic landscape changes of the year

Mine has changed dramatically over this past year.A more firm and inspired introduction to both classical music and other countries's traditional musics made sure that my Huskers/Sonic Youth etc preferences have made an unexpected disappearance from my favourites.I'ts probably the first time in my life that i feel like i have a seriously blurred nationality as i have tons of friends/aquantancies from disparate corners of the globe. It's ecxiting and stimulating like i haven't felt in quite a while.Anything to share with us?

I will say that the past year has renewed my faith in the young people of my local area to make high-quality, challenging, visceral music with skill and depth. It has been a long time coming, too.

I'm always amazed by the amount of sheer creative thought in the young and i encourage it to the point of getting annoyed.Either that or we'll all die sad bastards.
