I was intrigued about the source of that Kim video because aprox. a week ago some footage of "Stairway / Is It My Body?" was broadcasted in "TVE" (a tv channel from Spain).Kim filmed in an art gallery talking about her life and also about Joni Mitchell and Jimi Page...with spanish subtitles...Is a program called "Metropolis" and that special showed also video works of others female artists like Le Tigre and Cristina Rosenvinge.That special also included a brief snippet of a SY show,filmed in old 8mm camera,with no sound...appear be circa 98'.Maybe all this footage was sourced from the Printed Matter dvd.

i always thought it was stupid for video artists to sell their copies of their work for so much money. i know they gotta eat too, but geez, its a video.

the version that I saw in TVE (Television Española) appear be only a small part of the whole dvd...

I'm interested in know about of the running time of the whole dvd...
please,all the contain is Kim talking,or only a small part?

I guess the limited released dvd maybe include her paintings and other art pieces...

Naaah, it's not stupid, you can't give a "piece" a price based on the materials/techniques used.

That's the difference between art and commerce.

i have #5/10 its in a hand decorated wood box
i believe dave markey is credited with some of the camera work in the piece. the disc is a dvd-r with a drawing on it of kims work... it appears to be a reproduction on the disc and not original work....

As a west coaster, I woud really love to see this.

But, unfortunately, I'm not super rich or even rich or that matter.

Thanks for the info Hiland :) ! I was very intrigued ... TVE broadcasted only like 3-4 min so I think they broadcasted almost all the video footage of the dvd.Yes ...was very short... :( ...was cool ...I think the price was more for her reproductions/drawings...

i'll try to scan a more detailed version of everything....
