Anybody want to do some sy board music collaborations?

You know, like someone makes a beat, then someone else adds bass then someone els adds gtr/vox etc. via sending mp3 or wav files. That would be fun. I guess it would be best if participants have some kind of decent recording software that makes it easy to transfer digital.

Seriously, we should do this people...

ALIEN ANAL 10.18.2006 05:31 AM

My band does just this. We have 2 guitarists, one lives in Croatia and Me i live in Australia, the our bass player lives in a city 600km from me.

We send our stuff to each other and mix it all.

Yeah, I tried to do this before. But if someone posts a beat and gets the ball rolling I'll do some stuff.

CHOUT 10.18.2006 01:57 PM

I'll make a beat too - we could have a few of these going.

porkmarras 10.18.2006 01:58 PM

I tried on the old board and all i got was a 4 seconds bassline.

Inhuman 10.18.2006 01:58 PM

I'm all for it! I can do anything but vocals, my singing sounds like some emo child.

i'll help, but i work with a 4-track./// but i can provide some bass/gtr/vox/toy keyboard/or just white noise atmoshpere

ALIEN ANAL 10.18.2006 09:50 PM

well how we do this. where would i post my tune and what format do i save it as?

Alex's Trip 10.18.2006 10:24 PM

I'm up for adding whatever I can. When (and if) something crops up, and I feel I have something to add, I will.

Suggestions for doing this:

When one track is posted, the first person to call it adds to it.
Once you have added to it, post both pieces on one track, and a separate track with your addition only.
The next person calls it.

How about the 2nd person mix's their addition to the left and the one before to the right? That way the 3rd person can get all 3 tracks mixed together instead of having to mix 1 track into a premixed one.
