Would crossing SY.com w/ Twitter cheapen them both?

Tell me, what's the point of Twitter? Serious question, as I have no idea what the site is about. Isn't it just the status updates thing from myspace and facebook.. on another site?

That was my impression too, Adam. I signed up and that seemed like the only option. I don't remember what mine even is.

i see it as a digital media exercise in language editing. but it may be a rip-off from other sites, too.

honestly, i was getting a little bored with my internet use and thought adding sy.com-type, uh, type wld make twitter more relevant. not sure if this makes sense.

I just deleted my whole post because it sounded like something an 80 year old ass man would write, if he was able to log onto the internet. I mentioned C-SPAN if that is any clue.

i know a lawyer who hates ashton kucher. at leat he kept punk alive, ashton did w/ punk'd. but is he actuyally the leading voice of twitter, like to mac as justin long is?

twitter is fun at first but unless you have unlimited texts on yr phone plan and unlimited time to check all the incoming textx it is a pain in the ass to follow more than 3-4 people/bands/friends.
(especially if yuo follow someone who tweets as often as some losers update facebook status and shit)
sending tweets is fun I guess, but it becomes so rote. there are only so many things you can say in 140 chaarcters that anyone wants to actually read.

i think the public enemy board listed board members who also tweet. that's a nice idea. it's a way to learn about people.

I don't tweet. I don't see what's so great about this site...

However, I did set up a tumblr today and I must say I'm quite enjoying it. As a whole it feels more complete and interesting than twitter. It feels more as a portfolio or something: http://syrfox.tumblr.com/

No. Myspace has been dumb ever since they began mimicking every other "social networking" website. Now whenever I go on my myspace all I have is 200 invites for apps I don't give a fuck about and friends invite by people only willing to advertise for their shitty song.
