I'm two songs in, I'll be reporting back in about 35 minutes.

noisereductions 03.28.2009 08:09 PM

You got it. Plan on listening to this one like 10 times in a row over the next few days.

Sonic Youth 37 03.28.2009 08:41 PM

Okay, I thought it was really good. Not sure if it outstripped MM...Food? or Madvilliany though. Standout tracks were Yessir! and Angelz. The singing on "That's That" and the auto-tune on "Supervillianz" completely took me by surprise.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 03.28.2009 08:50 PM

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 03.28.2009 08:53 PM

Fne, fine, listenings.

noisereductions 03.28.2009 09:21 PM

I think BORN LIKE THIS definitely beats MM..FOOD. FOOD to me has a hanful of great tracks ("Super Hoes," "Deep Fried Frenz," "Rap Kinish Snitches") and a lot of just okay tracks.

ihateyouth 03.28.2009 09:23 PM

MF FOOD. I didn't like Born Like This.

Listening to Death Valley 69! aahhrrr

Sonic Youth 37 03.28.2009 09:27 PM

I think this might be beating Tha Carter III and I've not even through the first song.

their new acoustic release. It's not bad, Thursday was really fun!

Sonic Youth 37 03.29.2009 12:58 AM

Oh, cool. Must have to order that as they're not playing anywhere close, even though I was very let down by Hush and the Strawberries double 7" is a gyp (2 copies of the same 7" srsly?)

vulva 03.29.2009 12:58 AM

If you want to sample it, I'll gladly upload it for you.

Sonic Youth 37 03.29.2009 12:59 AM

I was solidly impressed with Born Like This. A few tracks didn't flow with me right off the bat, but I'm sure they'll come around.
