Wow, this looks interesting - is it a psych album, demon? |
Yeah, a sort of Folk/Psych/Jazz reissue thing from the late 60s. A bit ISB-ish. Actually it's not that great if I'm honest. Very patchy, and far too many flutes for my liking. Definitely nothing special.

Bourbonese Qualk "The Spike"
It's been a very long time since I've thrown this one on. Very dated in some respects, but I'm still enjoying it a lot. |

Astronautalis
..still not my type of music, but ever since my friend gave me a mix with some stuff by him on it, I can't stop listening |
now: the cherry point-black witchery
also today: bastard noise-throne is melting deep jew-a war 7 inch astromero-s/t today is the day-s/t lair of the minotaur-carnage saint vitus-born too late the stooges-s/t radiohead-kid a a handful of dust-spiritual libertines |
now: the flying luttenbachers-live bootleg 2/11/94. weasel walter for president. keepin prog brutal. and noise non-academic (with to live and shave in la 2). and metal non ironic and cool (with 7000 dying rats and hatewave and formerly lair of the minotaur) and free jazz fast (wth his solo work and the weasel walter trio) and punk interesting (w/ xbxrx) and chaos chaotic (w/ miss high heel). im surprised no one else on this board worship him like i do. he is my biggest hero of contemporary music (beating out even thurston and o'rourke).

So far tonight:
Dennis Wilson: "Pacific Ocean Blue" (the 2nd CD, called "The Caribou Sessions". Scott Kelly "The Wake" Various Artists "The Berekley EPs" (a compilation of 1967 San Francisco psych group EPs, from Country Joe And the Fish, Fruminous Bandersnatch, Mad River and Notes From The Underground). Portishead - Third (Still my album of the year so far). |

But then I think I've done that with all of their stuff. |
I know what you mean. I've bought countless albums where I've thought "Wow!", then filed it away for months on end. I keep coming back to "Third" though.
