Going to see Swervedriver tonight in Toronto. It's the NXNE festival so there's a shitload of opening acts and Swervedriver aren't scheduled to go on until 1am so I'm a bit worried their going to be forced into an abbreviated set. Whatever though, I've been waiting half my life to see them.

Went to The Breeders at the Orange Peel last night. Great show. Kim and Kelley's voice sounded great, although I think Kim was more than a little wasted. Opening band was Magic Wands, never heard of them before, they were decent as far as opening bands go
You can see my pictures here. Not too great, wasn't using flash and the crowd was moving quite a bit. http://www.flickr.com/photos/26037589@N07/ |
MBV on June 22
That's about it for now. Tried to get tickets for Wooden Shjips in Brighton but they sold out super fast :( |
good lord...i think MBV at the ICA may be the best gig i've ever been to in my life

I was there to. I thought it was a decent show, but I really don't dig the Breeders that much. I really wish they would have at least covered "Gigantic." Anyway here is a picture of the Deals: Oh, and some upcoming shows: Daniel Johnston, The Orange Peel on June 24th Tom Waits, Knoxville Civic Auditorium on June 29th and a long way off....The Black Keys at The Orange Peel on October 3rd. |
I was disappointed with no "Gigantic" too. From that pic you must have been close to me.
Oh, Nels Cline Singers, $15, 1 & 1/2 hour drive, should I go? |
No gigs planned.
This thread has reminded me to look for shows though. |
i'd love to see a show for $15 dollars.
