I have a dream for SY to make come true
 

In the hope that one of the band, or someone connected with them, will read this, I want to put forward the idea of a one-day SY festival solely (or at least primarily) for the benefit of members of this board. SY would headline, and all the support bands would be board members' bands.

Failing that, when SY next tour, it would be pretty cool if the support bands were recruited from the board.

Who's with me?

It would have to be a webcast too.

i had a dream where i joined shellac on second guitar because they couldn't play the new songs live without another guitarist. i don't see that coming true

Well, I'd fly pretty much anywhere to see an SY board festival, but I'd only want it to be a one or two day event. Maybe they could tour it in a very small way and do, say, a show in NYC, a show in Australia or NZ, and a show somewhere around Europe, with support bands for each show gathered from the appropriate area. I wouldn't be able to make it to the Australia / NZ leg of the tour, unless I could tie it in with a plan to visit a friend in Melbourne, but I'd deffo do the other two.

My band would play maybe, only if we got top billing.

I would definetly go play at this festival. I'd say my group Privacy would play on the 2nd day. & of course SY would play on th 3rd day, be the final act.
