how do i create a mix?
 
i want to join the ranks of the mixers and post some mixes here but what software/programme should i use?

and forgive me for being so rubbish at computers.

Thanks for asking that question Jon Boy. I fancy giving this mixing lark a try, but technology and I are virtual strangers.

There's an official trial version of Sound Forge (as mentioned by Porky) available from here.

Sound Forge is the one i use the most for pretty much anything.

I normally use sound forge for all audio-editing too... I downloaded that mixmeister thing that pork mentioned but that seemed much too complicated for just "adding one song after another" type of mixes.

What about Audacity? Some board members here have recommended it in the past before... I hear it's pretty good.

Audacity is definitely good enough for making a mixtape too... and it's freeware.
