mark prindle - smilehouse

brilliant.

Just watched "Lessons Learned" video by Matt and Kim, some pretty-crappie-indie-pop band thing. Anyway, the video was sent to me because OH MY GOD! THEY'RE NAKED IN IT! IN NEW YORK! AND EVERYBODY'S LOOKING AT 'EM! ... Though, didn't Alannis Morisette already do the exact same video like 10 years ago (oh and Blink-182, sorta, too)? Yawn.

John Fahey - Red Pony from 1969

Well I can vouch for II being amazing, although on repeated listens I tend to skip the first song.

Come to think of it, I do that on a lot of albums. It's either because I tend to hear the first song more than the other songs, or it's due to my wanting to dive into the middle of an album, and not just start where I'm told to :)

Also, an attempted rep for the vid. Fahey was way ahead of his time. I mean, tuning to an open E minor isn't considered much now, with all of the alternate tuning going on, but he was doing it in the 60's. Plus, I feel he did it for the right reason, doing it so he could get the sound he wanted, not just so he could show everybody his new tuning, because, come on, E E F# F# B B is the same as A A C C F F, right? :)

My Old Radiohead Bootleg CD!

I got my dad to pay 30 odd quid for these 2 CDS that had radio sessions and live songs etc. 10 years ago before the age of the internet, i guess it proves I was a proper hardcore fan when I was 14.
