I've only played Metroid Prime 1 + 2. Go me!

I've wanted to play Super Metroid for the longest time but I've never been able to find a cheap enough copy of it. Fuck paying £40 or so for a SNES cart ya know?

I shouldn't say I DON"T LIKE Zero Mission. I just found it somewhat pointless. The NES Classic version was already available. So why a remake? I mean yeah it looks great, and yeah ther'es a map. But. I don't know.

Prime is nothing like the real deals.

if anyone has not played this, I recommend it. It's a shmup, but it's not like Ikaruga... it's really more the premise of Shadow Of The Colussus. There are no levels. There's just boss fights. Your tiny ship vs a huge fucking boss. It's awesome.

Zero Mission can barely be called a remake... it's extremely different than the orginal... it's about as much a remake as Super is... it's basically part of the first game with TONS of new things and the ability to shoot diagnolly.. that stealth section is amazing... new bosses.. it's way better. And the first game is unlockable once you beat it! A perfect package.

Chaos Field rules, btw. O ne of the only Gamecube games I truly miss. AMAZING music.

hhmmm. Maybe I'll have to take a closer look at Zero Mission then. BTW, you can use Fusion to unlock NES Metroid in Prime also.

Yeah Chaos Field is great. GCN had very few shmups, but between Chaos Field and Ikaruga... g'damn!

Super Metroid is one of the most essential games to play in gaming. Even though I prefer Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I'd say Super Metroid is more essential. Incredible game.

The best "Game of nothing but boss fights" game is probably Alien Soldier..

btw this:


is fucking great!!!! its like all the good parts of metroid in an RPG. discovery, growing stronger and STRONGER, to come back and fuck up some real shitheads which killed you multiple times before.
plus its pretty hard and loooooong.
