At the moment, I'd have to say Bringing It All Back Home

that or Blonde on Blonde is mine.
Favorite under appreciated dylan album: Desire.

I haven't heard that one yet. I'll have to check it out. Blonde On Blonde would be #2

viewtiful_alan 07.07.2008 10:23 PM

Desire doesn't have the personal mystery lyrics we've come to love, but it has some great story telling and the songs are great.
Deffinitley worth picking up.

And yeah I don't get why people rate highway sixty one above Bringing it all back and Blonde on Blonde. I mean its great, but its not leaps and bounds above those two like some would have youb elieve.

I dig the early Bob Dylan stuff....

I've got this on now...

viewtiful_alan 07.07.2008 10:24 PM

Early as in acoustic?
Or early as in first three electric albums?

Sonic Youth 37 07.07.2008 10:25 PM

I might follow up Times...with John Wesley Harding, if I feel like another Dylan

viewtiful_alan 07.07.2008 10:27 PM

John Wesley Harding is great if you want Mellow Dylan.
Its a great album in any case. Under rated also.

Sonic Youth 37 07.07.2008 10:35 PM

Mellow Dylan is the Dylan I'm the mood for.

viewtiful_alan 07.07.2008 10:36 PM

Then that or Blood on the Tracks (but you should already own that) are what you want.

Sonic Youth 37 07.07.2008 10:38 PM

Blood on the Tracks is for another night, John Wesley is the way for more Dylan today.

Shalloboi - "To the Sky"

viewtiful_alan 07.07.2008 10:40 PM

Oh I thought you meant to buy

Sonic Youth 37 07.07.2008 10:41 PM

No, I need to actually buy the proper albums, but I have a lot of his stuff as AAC. I never really listened to Dylan much until about 6 months ago.

viewtiful_alan 07.07.2008 10:43 PM

Yeah he's easy to get heavily into, he has so many albums and phases that he donesn't really get redundant, at least to me

If you're asking me....actually stuff up to and thru Nashville Skyline. I wasn't a big fan of the 70s Rolling Thunder Review period.

So yeah, early acoustic and electric for me.

I value his entire discography.
but no one can argue that that is his best period.
I love the Rolling Thunder stuff also, haha that was his shouting phase (he tends to go through vocal phases).
