Chelsea SW6 > Chelsea 10011

gmku 08.31.2007 09:44 AM

New York City. At least there for the most part people still speak English.

Boise.

New York
Remember which American band came from there; without them, there'd be no SY board!

SynthethicalY 09.01.2007 03:25 AM

New York, but thinking London as well.

Glice 09.01.2007 04:44 AM

Have you noticed I've never been impressed with all your friends from New York and London?

Crumb's Crunchy Delights 09.01.2007 10:39 AM

New York is horrible.

Never been to London.

Tokolosh 09.01.2007 12:03 PM

Impossible to say and a bit silly to compare them to eachother. Both cities are great to visit or live in.

Raised in EN WHY SEA!!! Always!!!

davenotdead 09.01.2007 12:11 PM

this thread makes me want to visit neither....but i shall end up in nyc eventually methinks....

pbradley 09.01.2007 04:40 PM

Los Angeles!

New York- and yeah I just spent all day in London, I went to covent garden, trafalgar square, westminster... but NYC does not compare in the slightest. Totally different league altogether.

demonrail666 09.02.2007 05:47 PM

London has more variety than NY, has more of a sense of a living city. NY is far better value though, and if you're looking simply to enjoy yourself, the Big Apple wins hands down.

i know what you mean by that. to me london doesn't feel like one city - it feels like a collection of many small towns linked by tube(probably because it is, as obviously "london" used to only mean the square mile).
because it is so spread out it feels really diverse - i never feel like i am in a massive city when i'm in hammersmith and fulham, or even islington, for example. nyc seems more compact, but i've never been there so i could be totally wrong.

Yes we do, but gmku, the sly devil, was referring to the huge influx of immigrants London has experienced recently.

New York for sure. It's appeal by far out weighs London, for me.
