Ah, joy of joys... my birthday present to myself is safely ordered.

A word of advice to anyone interested - don't bother trying to buy through Ticketmaster, they've only got really crap seats - no standing at all.

Lucky you!
I got through to the website at 9:10 ordered the tickets, was told there was a problem with the order and asked to ring another phone number, only to be told it was sold out! Bollocks!

Try Stargreen: http://www.stargreen.com/events?id=18860

Seetickets seems to be working okay too: http://www.seetickets.com/see_fm/pri...06&filler1=see

Actually I ignored your advice and tried Ticketmaster.
Got myself 2 lovely standing up tickets!!

"Let that everlovin' stuff rain down on me!" :D

They seemed to have about four different links to choose from when i tried them - I guess I must have picked the wrong one. Never mind, all's well that ends well. See you in the moshpit!*

*Actually, I won't see you in the moshpit, as I'm going with my girlfriend and she's a delicate little flower. This will be the third time she's seen the Bad Seeds, making them her most-seen band ever, just edging ahead of Atomic Kitten.

Saint_Huck 02.01.2008 09:30 AM

You have to be rich to go to a Nick Cave concert. They are bloody expensive and in Barcelona they are playing in an awful place.

I don't know if I will be going or not, today it's the first day for buying the tickets and I don't have money at all right now. To sum up, Nick is my favourite artist but I don't like really much his career after 1994, it has been a hit-or-miss and Grinderman makes me not feel really optimist about the upcoming album. I'm in a huge dilemma.

I'll be taking the missus (ooh errr!), so no moshpit for me either. But there isn't that much moshing at Bad Seeds gigs anyway.

MBV will be mucho mosho I'm sure!

floatingslowly 02.01.2008 11:16 AM

does this mean that there will be no Grinderman tour? :(

uhler 02.01.2008 12:44 PM

i think grinderman will release an album next year or the year after, then tour. it'll prob. be bad seeds record and tour, grinderman record and tour and so on until nick cave gets tired of grinderman.

At the last show of the Australian Grinderman tour Nick said it would be the last Grinderman show, so... possibly not, haha.

sonicl 02.02.2008 02:52 AM

Yeah, I figured that Grinderman was more of a diversion than an ongoing thing.

I hope that Dig Lazarus Dig doesn't turn out to be to Grinderman what Lyre Of Orpheus was compared to Abattoir Blues.

ohfuchsia 02.02.2008 05:59 PM

what is all this about girls being too fragile for "moshpit" at a nick cave concert? there was a young child right near me at grinderman. i'm sure your ladies would survive!

Saint_Huck 02.03.2008 11:01 AM

You must be rich for going to a Nick Cave concert. The tickets are bloody expensive, near 40 euros in Barcelona!

Right Now, I'm in a huge dilemma, Nick is my favourite artist ever but his post-1994 output is kinda of hit-and-miss thing and I'm scared at how Dig Lazarus Dig will sound like since I don't like Grinderman at all. At the moment, I don't have money and the tickets are on sale since friday. Furthermore, the concert is in a place I don't like pretty much, a kinda factory stage but I have never seen him live outside a festival. What a mess!

Un-related to Cave (I'm seeing him in Bristol) - your music is amazing, good work.

Second London date added on May 8th.

Poor Immigrant 02.04.2008 05:06 AM

It's such a bummer that I'm in Berlin the same day Nick plays in Stockholm. I really want to see the band.

Really? When and where? Is he popping round to your house for a cup of tea and to serenade the cat?
