sonicl 04.27.2007 10:24 AM

This part of the east-atlantic contingent thinks that staying at home that weekend sounds like a good idea.

pantophobia 04.27.2007 10:26 AM

it's something in the back of my mind, Wu-Tang would be nice to see again, and only one band of the second day doesn't annoy me

sonicl 04.27.2007 10:30 AM

It just looks like a horrendous middle-of-the-road line-up with the occasional nod towards fashion.

Much like the UK version of the same festival really.

pantophobia 04.27.2007 10:36 AM

well it's something to mull over until the 19th, when the one day tickets go on sale, that first day line up looks quite boring

and yeah some of it is middle of the road, just something to think over

sonicl 04.27.2007 10:42 AM

This is the lineup for the UK version:

The Killers
Kasabian
James
The Fratellis
Kt Tunstall
James Morrison
The Goo Goo Dolls
Foo Fighters
Snow Patrol
Pink
Kanye West
Paolo Nutini
Editors
The Proclaimers
Just Jack
The Kooks
Manic Street Preachers
Lily Allen
Mika
Guillemots
Basement Jaxx
Amy Winehouse
The Coral
Babyshambles
Jet
The Fray
Juliette & The Licks
Damien Rice
Corinne Bailey Rae
Sophie Ellis Bextor
Primal Scream
Happy Mondays
Jarvis Cocker
Ocean Colour Scene
Beverley Knight

I think you have it marginally better, but only just.

tesla69 04.27.2007 10:56 AM

MIA should be headlining the 2nd day...

if you are Jenn, you know this meant to say "of all those bands, only one really annoys me" she is the only one to actually decipher my intent with typos and contradictions

only 311 is really shitty, the rest i can stand, i like or i really want to see

pantophobia 04.27.2007 12:14 PM

yeah, the english festivals are at the mercy of the NME, i feel for ya

timtimtim 04.27.2007 02:49 PM

It's a very commercial lineup and it's dominated by old music. I would love to see the Beasties and Wu Tang. It seems bit more exciting than lollapalooza except I wouldn't want to even hear chris cornell's set and lose the last bit of respect that i have for him.
