Sonic Youth tour dates?!?
 

For a strange reason a local club has sonic youth scheduled for the exact same date they are scheduled to be in LA. In July on the ninth their set up to play the odeon(a small club in saskatoon, saskatchewan), but their webpage says that they are playing in LA with Pearl Jam. So what is going on?

All I know is that I'm seeing them @ Bonnaroo June 18th.

I thought the saskatoon show was in june, maybe I was wrong. I really do hope they tour Canada for a bit.

You should ask the venue owner or whoever works there.

i ordered my 'roo ticket last week. i am very excited to see the youth again, especially since i was really sick & out of it the only time i saw them...

I'm looking forward to seeing them in Vegas even if they are opening for a bunch of whores.

It's incredibly frustrating because it doesn't seem like they're going to to a national involved tour this summer.
The seven dates in CA just don't cut it with me, and festivals are too expensive.
What happened to the old days of Sonic Youth and maybe two other bands in a club?

You need to find a way to get to Bonnaroo. Much better acts, including SY.
& Beck, Oysterhead, Les Clayppol. It's gonna be fucking great.
& what better way to see SY for the first time than at a festival.

I was contemplating asking some friends to sneak me up there, actually. I really wish I could go. It'd be SO. AWESOME. I don't think my folks would be up to getting the tickets and stuff, though. This trip to California is sucking up all of our money, saving and shopping for everything.
