Another thing about Christmas. . .

It is so frustrating when you think you're done Xmas shopping and someone not on your list drops by and gives you an Xmas present.

Aw, fuck em, selfish bastards.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 12.13.2006 01:03 AM

Aren't I the selfish one? I'm the one thinking "I'm only getting presents for family. . .and now one of my friends gave me a Christmas present. . . fuck. . . the implications. . ."

noisemachine 12.13.2006 01:07 AM

Happens to me all the time. Generally, I just buy gifts for my immediate family. Then if someone I know gives me a gift, I just say "oh I haven't wrapped your present yet" or just something to buy enough time for me to run out and get something.

gmku 12.13.2006 01:09 AM

It is a little awkward, inn't it. Damn these holidays.

Inhuman 12.13.2006 01:16 AM

It's never happened to me, but I can see how it would be a tight situation. I dislike it when you put a lot of effort into someone's present and you get something like money in return. Money just makes it seem unthoughtful. I always put a lot into gifts.

I told one of my friends that I just finished christmas shopping (for him too) and he said "What? You're getting me something and I don't have to get you somethnig back? Sweet deal". I don't care if someone isn't able to afford something back, but that's just rude.

Cantankerous 12.13.2006 01:19 AM

i don't do gifts. i do cash.

HaydenAsche 12.13.2006 01:20 AM

I've an idea, don't fucking celebrate it, then.

Sometimes money is the best gift IMO. But then again, I'm poor.

king_buzzo 12.13.2006 03:53 AM
