Bands Covering The Beatles

Im starting this thread to dig up some good (and obscure) covers of the fab four from england. Everyone knows they were supremely talented songwriters thats why its real interesting to see other bands tackle their stuff. So upload away, lets try and find the best and the weirdest out there !

A few I really dig:
Bob Marley- And I Love Her

Moving Sidewalks- I want to hold your hand (psychedelic version)

Breeders- Happiness is a warm gun

Lee Ranaldo- Within You, Without You

the Pixies cover of "Wild Honey Pie"
Fiona Apples' "Across The Universe"

both spring to mind,
but I'm far too lazy to dig up any clips.

Not strictly The Beatles, but George Harrisons 'Isn't It A Pity' by Galaxie 500 is certainly worthy of mention - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOZtpXHu028

Never heard the breeders do happiness. Nice.

I wish I had a recording of my band doing Michelle. Because we do it pretty different without changing the rhythm or time signature...

We can't overlook Sonic Youth's cover of "Within You Without You"!

gmku, it was mentioned in the first post. It was by Lee, not by SY.

When I used to have Radio 2 in the background at my old office job, Terry Wogan used to play these amazing bluegrass versions of Beatles songs by people I've never heard of (though Dolly Parton may have done one). Some of them were quite sparse and weird. I wish I knew who some of them were...

Anyway, I like Dear Prudence by Siouxsie And The Banshees, and she did a good cover of Blue Jay Way live. I'm sure lots of bands have covered Helter Skelter (Motley Crue are one).

Oh. Are you sure it's not SY, the version on the deluxe Daydream Nation release?

Dammit. I'm all out of suggestions then.

wait, yr right. It was SY! I was confusing it with Lee's cover of Dylan's "Mama, You've Been On My Mind."
