@ Dr. Eugene
I know yr not a fan of Lil Wayne, but every time I hear this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kEW4nYxBLk I think of you becuz I feel like it's one of his songs that you WOULD like. |
I'll give it an honest shot when I'm done listening to this Fuck on the Beach album.
But only if you promise to listen to Symptoms of Insanity by Esham in the 10 greatest hip-hop releases thread. Although I do think Closed Casket would be the Esham album that would get you hooked (the song I linked is off of Kkkill The Fetus) |
Just listened to it. Blegh... it's better than his auto-tuned radio shit. He can obviously write some pretty interesting rhyme schemes, but that track just felt so flat, and soulless to me. It had no groove!
I mean, compare that track to something like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFx_mrzZz58 |
all the vinyl I listed above now that i got myself a player for them.

Haha, I've been down with DOOM since '07 when he dropped The Mouse & The Mask! Operation Doomsday is definitely his masterpiece though.

When I posted about listening to that album you had no reaction
|
I mentioned it in the top 10 hip-hop releases thread, he didn't care either. He's a strange man.

5/5 for the actual album The tacked on tracks, though not bad, dont really gel with the album at all, but even so they aren't distinguished or placed as bonus tracks but are just thrown onto the end of the album as if they were always there. I think I want to get an old vinyl copy of this one.... I'm complaining too much. THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME. Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchellson deserve much more credit than I seem to hear them get. Such a great rhythm section... the live legacy of Jimi Hendrix kind of impacted the degree to which people pay attention to the fact that the experience were not just Hendrix's means to an end, but were truly an excellent group a la The Doors being in the shadow of Morrison (Hendrix>Morrison though) |
Merzbow - Merzbeat
Natas - Blaz4me |
