I had the pleasure of seeing Gang Starr once they backed up RATM in the Worcester Centrum. Each of the MC's came out with a different weapon my
favorite was the guy with the Sludge Hammer. Right Now I'm listening to a live recording of the Nov 22 Sonic Youth show I saw at Wilbur Theater. Nice clean recording. I've even been able to pick out my loud mouth a few times... |

damn, I dunno why I failed to listen to this record for so long, maybe because I thought dangermouse is another hip-producer from the isle (maybe because of his mash ups). but this record is fucking hilarious....better late then never |
I just picked up the CD by Coco's band, Lightbulb, out of curiosity's sake. It's one of the strangest recordings I've ever heard. It has four songs plus an interview, recorded on May 20, 2006. In the background, during the interview, you can hear What a Waste and Turquoise Boy being played in the next room.
The four songs sound like the three girls just picked up instruments and started strumming out random notes. It sounds like a No Wave record made by kids. I'm wondering if anyone else has listened to it? By the way, I'm listening to EVOL as I type this. |
