really? MODERN TIMES was quite good to my ears. I heard the single from this record, and wasn't thrilled. But still plan on nabbing this one.

SuperCreep 05.01.2009 02:18 PM

I don't know. I liked MT when I first heard it, but now it just sounds like a poor retread of stuff he already did better on TOOM and L&T.

This new one sounds okay so far.

I do agree that those were both better albums.

Together Through Life:

Pleasant enough continuation of what he's been doing with the last three albums, but ultimately more forgettable than those. Only tracks that stood out for me were the new single and Forgetful Heart. Otherwise, meh.

Now finishing this one up:

I'm listening to Gordon Ramsey giving some dumb schmuck hell on Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. This has become one of my fave TV shows.

Taj Mahal on Later.

He plays a mean banjo.

Yesterday (I haven't been able to sit down and listen to albums lately, alot of ipod listening as of late).

4.25/5
I don't usually only go to .5 or the whole number but this one really was better than a 4 but not quite a 4 and a half. Still great though.

On The Chris Isaak Show, I just listened to Isaak interview Stevie Nicks about "how much you have to give up when you become a rock star." Fuck, give me a break. There's nothing like watching and listening to two space cadets converse over inane shit.

Nicks just used the word "gazillions."
