That's a weird one. Not sure if I mentioned it in that 60's electronic music thread that demonrail (i think) started, but I was intending to. The title track was made in 1957 in the sound labatories of Philips at the request of the company itself to explore the possibilities of modern electronics in popular music. It was pressed as a single that they handed out as a gift to business relations... not kidding. I always liked the idea of men in white laboratory coats making sci-fi music. Sometimes it's claimed as being the first electronic pop single. |
