An article on Radio Five Live about affordable housing. It seems that housing companies are being given permission to build on land, and being hugely subsidised on the strict condition that they set a proportion of the housing aside for purchase by 'key workers' such as nurses and the police. Guess what? Yeah, that's right.

Pookie 10.15.2006 05:23 AM

Don't talk to me about bleeding key workers. They're the reason we can't get a house we can afford. (I know it's more complicated than that but it's good to have a target for your anger)

Hip Priest 10.15.2006 05:26 AM

I understand. I'm more angry at the housing company for taking my tax money on a pretence and the government for not giving a f***.

Pookie 10.15.2006 05:29 AM

I know.

Hip Priest 10.15.2006 05:30 AM

I'm convinced that we cut cut tax by an absolute minimum of 15% and make the country a much better place, if money wasn't wasted all the time.

They've moved to LAncaster now. It's the same there.

Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band

I love this. I think it is a masterpiece, even better than Lennon's POB album. I've had this album since 1970 but never took it seriously until recently. There's a little loop in the side 2 runout like on EVOL, this one begins after Yoko says "Don't worry," and then the loop is of what sounds like howling wolves.

Is this very good? I'm not very into the Deftones, (then, I haven't heard much of them) but Zach Hill is one of my favourite drummers of all-time.

I just started listening to the album today, but from what I've heard it's good shit. I think it has more of a mellow sound than the Deftones.
