If you're feeling 80 nostalgia tastic I'd throw in the Primitives, for whom I have a soft spot, and the Cocteau Twins, who everyone should be listening to.

Jack is one of the best solo acoustic instrumentalists working right now. If you like Robbie Basho, John Fahey etc you would do well to listen. If you think that's boring, don't bother.
Personally, I think he's a genius and his guitar skills are inhuman.
