My Ipod is Dead?

It only shows a picture of the battery, and won't do much. I try rebooting, and yet nothing. Ah I have no money for a new one. Does anyone have a link for refurbished ipods?

USE THE CHARGER THAT CAME WTH THE CAMERa

nicfit 09.03.2007 01:28 AM

camera?
yeah, leave it to charge for like half a day then try to turn it on.

Kallisti23chaos 09.03.2007 01:32 AM

try holding down the play button and the middle button together for 10-20 seconds- if that don't work plug it into the wall.
also try moving the lock button back and forth.
Also if you have had it for a long time, the batteries on the iPod go bad. the guy at the apple store told me you can have the batteries charged for $70.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 09.03.2007 03:13 AM

holding down the play and middle button simontanously for 10-20 seconds, i'm sure.

nicfit 09.03.2007 03:37 AM

isn't that the "reboot" thing synth said didn't work?

ipods are the most tempramental things in the world. you have to treat them like a small kitten or they throw a hissie fit.

nicfit 09.03.2007 04:35 AM

I think I've been lucky with my 2g 8gb nano, it NEVER ever gave me a single problem. Probably the HD ones have more issues, dunno. solid state memory fo' life.

screamingskull 09.03.2007 04:56 AM

charging them for really long periods of time seems to fix them.

Well it didn't work that way, it worked with menu and the middle button.

val-holla-ing 09.03.2007 02:16 PM

i heard that if your ipod is giving you "sad ipod" icon and you can hear the hd whirring around, turn it on the side and hit it on a tabletop and it'll fix it.

true story, my friend tried it and her ipod is fine and dandy now.

dead fucking serious.

ah ha ha.. ayayay...

i dont know about refurbished ipods (but why?), however, a solid state player potentially offers less troubles.

i know creative just came out with a new line of flash-based zen players that accept an SD card expansion-- so you will be able to add greater capacity in the future.

http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zen/

they should be affordable, and creative is pretty good at sound-- they make sound cards for fuck's sakes.
