Y'know what's funny? The first time I watched The Dark Knight was years after release. I had seen Batman Begins and enjoyed it. But I didn't watch Dark Knight until long after everyone kept harping at me that I should watch it. I watched it when I was ready to see it. I loved it. But I was also not under the pressure of "you HAVE to see this movie YOU will LOVE it". Preconceptions were gone. I just decided one day, oh hey I'm in the mood to finally see this. It worked out well that way.

You fucking crazy man. You crazy. |
Seriously though, I don’t think every album in the GOOD Music summer series necessarily deserves a “drop everything!” response, BUT... you’re just not the NR I know and love if you have no plans to listen to “Ye” and “Kids See Ghosts.”
Do me a favor and just listen THREE tracks from these two EPs. Pop open Spotify and listen to KSG’s “Feel the Love” and “4th Dimension,” and then listen to Kanye’s “Ghost Town.” Just those. That’s all I ask. If you don’t do it u a bitch. Feeling extra giving? Listen to “Infrared” from Daytona. And maybe “Cop Shoots Kid” from Nasir. Will put you in mood. Ain’t no pressure just if u don’t u a bitch. |
That shit about Dark Knight I kinda get... at least for someone who’s not a Batman fan, or someone who assumed it was going to be just another superhero movie like Iron Man and the (blech) Hulk (Ang Lee). But you’re a Batfan and you knew it was going to be the effing ess because you saw Begins. For shame

Perturbator.
I really love this guy's stuff. |
Ithaca - A Game For All Who Know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oMtg25Hzd0 I have been playing this record at least twice a day for the past two months. It's perfect from start to finish. |

Jesus fucking christ we still on this? Live your own life and stop tryna force shit onto other people. Fuck me this is getting boring. |
Quote:
Oh my god, you poor bored thing, if only you weren’t being forced to read my posts. Whatever will you do? Shut the fuck up. |
(fuckin’ telling me what to say grumble grumble fuckass grumble) |

Hard not to given how you spam every thread on here  xo Quote:
This is where the autist needs to take his own cue. |

Yeah, I've had that one for a number of years myself. Very grateful for the Acme reissue series, because Originals of that are over four figures. That is indeed a great summer listening experience. |

1. I don’t spam. 2. You say shut the fuck up; I say shut the fuck up back, and I’m a developmentally stunted child? Cool reasoning bruh 3. Hey I have an idea! Why don’t you complain some more? ;) xo |

Polvo - In Prism
Second only to 'Todays Active Lifestyles', IMO. |

"Beggars Bowl" is tits, but I don't see how Exploded Drawings isn't second place. (If they had trimmed it, it would be first place and a record everyone would own.) I take it Celebrate the New Dark Age is considered an EP? |
Quote:
On Beggar's Bowl now, love it. Active Lifestyles just "hits the spot" for me. Honestly though Ive only listened to Exploding Drawings a handful of times, so I don't know it as well. |
Candlemass - Nightfall
Sometimes being tasteful is the wrong choice. This record wouldn't be so great if it wasn't excessive and a bit ridiculous. Same applies to Mercyful Fate. |
Quote:
Wonderful stuff! Everyone raves about Epicus (which is admittedly great) but I actually prefer Nightfall. Less of a statement, maybe, but just a better collection of songs. Messiah Marcolin is surely one of the truly great, and defining, metal front men. |

Anyway, I bought this album together with Lee's latest. And I liked it more than I thought I would. Great car music !! and then thereafter this one. I already knew it, but bought it anyway: I tried listening to the new Lee too in the car, but it's not really car driving music, I got spaced out from listening to it. Not good when behind the wheel .. so I'll try it later tonight probably. and next to that: this one's pretty cool as well: it's a three CD album, on each CD there's one track lasting 45 to 60 minutes of improv / drone I'm especially liking the second CD so far |
I woke up this morning with this song in my head
Riding For The Feeling | Bill Callahan (even though I haven't listened to him for some time) I hope he'll release a new album some time soonish ... he is touring the US for a bit in September |

Smog live sets from 2005, featuring the mighty Jim White on drums.
There are two full setson YT from Austin, TX and one from Prague, CZ Last Friday it was still like 30 degrees Celsius at night. So I was watching this all night long. Too bad the Austin video is shot from the left side of stage, and the guitar player is many times blocking the view from Jim. I was so absorbed in watching these vids that I almost totally missed the blood moon that was happening right in front of my eyes!! |
Hey NOISEREDUCTIONS... clear out some messages, son.
I have thingies to share with you but don’t want to offend h8tkurdt’s delicate sensibilities ;) |

Are you sending him some more videos of you jerking off your dead dog and sucking it? |
Classic stuff, my dude.

Bless you :p Anyway, current loving Heilung. I suspect they're a band pretty much everyone on here will hate. However, they've got me pretty bad. Visually they're also incredible. I've actually no idea how they transport all their shit given how they're not a massive band. YouTube vid if you wanna check them out Heilung |
The fuckin' Quietus on one of the greatest fuckin' albums of the fuckin' year, Tropical Fuck Storm's A Laughing Death In Meatspace:
http://thequietus.com/articles/24550...h-in-meatspace How it is that two fuckin' members of the fuckin' band can be both key fuckin' members of The Drones and former fuckin' members of The Drones I cannot fuckin' fathom. Great fuckin' review, though. Fuck you! |
Quote:
Nice recommendation. Thank you |
Quote:
Holy shit who does this remind me of?’ Butthole Surfers a bit maybe? Early Flaming Lips with better musicianship? Someone else too... moreso than the others... can’t quite place it! Ahhh! |
Quote:
Voice: kinda Kurt Cobain + Shane McGowan. Female attack disguised as support most welcome. Music: a bit like Crazy Horse at their wildest, but instead of jamming it's a permanent fucking thermonuclear explosion. The fucked up keyboards add a color that wasn't necessarily on The Drones' palette, though. Lyrics: Jack Kerouac on a compassionate death trip. Fuck you! |
this new video of The Breeders - Nervous Mary (Homemade Video)
It was shot at a 60 minute drive from my hometown. :D:p:D |
New Aphex Twin song yay

No hate at all. I actually created a thread asking about them awhile back that had no responses though. I am curious to see how others here would take them too. That whole show is absolutely amazing though. I would love to see them perform it. I have been digging the chill vibes of this Khruangbin group lately. Just been finding vids of their live shows. Have yet to actually hear anything recorded. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8L2D2XkByA Fun little medley around the 31:40 mark for the early 90s kids like me, or for the 70s kids who knew the originals they were sampled from, ha. |
Young Gods - Young Gods Feels a bit too of its time now (as I'd expect) but still stands up. |
5/10 for Everything is Love???
Fantano must die!! |

Lol. I haven’t watched the video, but he’s right. That album is the worst thing Jay or Bey has released this decade. Pure fucking recycled garbage throughout. It’s like a watered down “Watch the Throne” for ... people on Ambien? I don’t know what the fuck the target audience was supposed to be for that shitpile. I’ve been a Jay-Z fan since 1997 and I’ve gone from Beyoncé appreciator to semi-fan in the years since “Single Ladies,” but I am certainly not please by hearing the dynamic duo copping Migos beats and grasping at straws. Really disappointing after “4:44.” And effectively ending the hot streak Beyoncé has been on since “4,” which was her first truly good album. (Shrug) |
Probably my favorite album of the year
