I'm a word geek. What are some of your favorite words, and why?

Here's ten of mine. I just like the way they flow when you say them, and for some, the meanings:

Persifleur (one who talks about serious matters in a light-hearted way. describes me very well, most of the time)

cliche- like the meaning
booty- fun to say
specificity- hard to say
simplicity- sounds cool

i love the word sminky-pinky

and i hate the word soup

Plynth.
Liebe (German is beautiful)

You could almost read something into that. I am most fond of medical words.

commissurotomy (Extremely interesting stuff. Look it up.)
fedora (Though contrary to popular opinion, they are not cool outside a film from the 40's & 50's.)

Very nice. Apart from this one:

Which is well known by proper wankers as a joke about volcanoes rather than a real word.

Keep trying though, maybe one day you too can be a utter cunt about words.
