Dude! Get on it. |

^epic classic.
|
Yeah, I'm making my way through the first round Wu-Tang solo things. Probably will get to Ghostface and Method Man today or tomorrow.
|
not anybody can sing like '87 Black Francis or craft Pinback-like melodies. This could be excellent but ultimately fails as it gets tedious and too long at times; draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag |
Yeah the first half of THIS IS A LONG DRIVE is exceptional though. LONELY CROWDED WEST is defiitely my fav.

Just for the record, this was amazing. Easily one of the best ever. At moments, better than both Enter the Wu and Liquid Swords |
I would say those 3 are pretty close to equal. TICAL follows closely, and RETURN TO THE 36 and IRONMAN behind that. Funny that while looking at the first round of solo's you wouldnt imagine that Ghost would blossom into the personality and presence he is today.

Return to the 36 ran a little long for my taste. I don't have Ironman, but I'll be giving Supreme Clientele a listen soon.
Now: (was Living In Darkness-Agent Orange) Edit: ^ that was skipping so now: |
RETURN TO THE 36 is a bit too long. But there's some amazing stuff on there: "Brooklyn Zoo" and "Snakes" for instance. Unbelievable.
SUPREME CLIENTELE is definitely where Ghost really started to shine. It's really an F'd up album. I remember when I first heard it, it basically confused me. But it gets better and better with each listen. |

Just listened:
Pre. The Casbah, San Diego, CA, 24th March 2009 (from dime) Many new tracks from the forthcoming album Hope Freaks were played and it sounds good. Now: Indian Jewelry - May 14th, 2008 - The Red & The Black, Washington, D.C. (also from dime) very good. |

actually, when i first read your post i thought you really did mean the band doom. then i saw his and realized that i doubt two people would talk about the band doom on this board right around the same time, so i figured it was about the rapper. i just felt like posting the same thing twice. |
