Moral Dilemma

do I play my pristine Thunderbolt Pagoda records on my "not so pro" usb turntable, or do I keep them wrapped in plastic, in hopes that one day, they'll make me rich?

extraneous data: all of these songs are long-time ipod favorites.

pbradley 02.24.2010 06:42 PM

Recording collecting is wankery. Play the records.

floatingslowly 02.24.2010 06:45 PM

if that's so, I'm up to my armpits in Kleenex.

but if it's wankery, shouldn't I be happy with the digital copy?

have I mentioned that these are some of my favorite songs EVERrrrrr?

Are you?

floatingslowly 02.24.2010 06:52 PM

of course. however, even a jaded cunt such as yourself must know, there IS something special about listening to songs on vinyl.

perhaps you don't.

eitherway, thank you for your opinion and I suspect that you may be right.

davenotdead 02.24.2010 07:06 PM

keep them fresh. you don't unwrap gum do you?

atsonicpark 02.24.2010 07:08 PM

Re-seal.

floatingslowly 02.24.2010 07:12 PM

^^^ they aren't "sealed" but they are in plastic. it's a large box that is more "art" than "record".

I'm not into ruining art.

I'm still laughing at "I've noticed that your chair has an american accent".

being stuck in that chair is a double-edged sword.

he's massively debilitated and constantly made fun of, but people are afraid to argue with handicapped people and he has NO trouble finding women.

me? I think he's a prick.

Is it special enough to deserve listening to vinyl?

phoenix 02.24.2010 07:21 PM

honestly? If it were me, I'd buy a second copy to play, if you love them that much. But, I'm often told I'm crazy for even buying hard copies of anything. So what do I know.

floatingslowly 02.24.2010 07:23 PM

oh, I certainly don't deserve it.

nor do I want fingerprints on it after I sell it at Christie's for 6mil 元.

floatingslowly 02.24.2010 07:25 PM

I am seeking consultation with The Maker.

please find this post, yes.

phoenix 02.24.2010 07:26 PM

I just think you're already nerding it up by even having the dilema(not that there is anything wrong with that), so doubles is not that much further of a step. It just removes yr anxiety over the issue.

floatingslowly 02.24.2010 07:39 PM

suppose that you had an oil painting that made music, but in order to do so, you had to drag a #2 pencil over it. THAT is my moral dilemma.

phoenix 02.24.2010 07:41 PM

don't even try, it's completely different. You are looking at a print, not an original. :) buy another one, nerdcore.

floatingslowly 02.24.2010 07:47 PM

I believe that you are underestimating this vinyl. it's not just another sleeved record. :o

phoenix 02.24.2010 07:49 PM

dale_gribble 02.25.2010 03:36 AM
