Has anyone else seen this before?

It was on Sonic Youth Takeover on MTV2 a while ago, a collage of arty images, mainly of flowers and pretty pastoral things (as far as I can remember). It was very well done, hypnotic, and I'd love to see it again.

It's not on Corporate Ghost and I can't find it on You Tube. Is it anywhere online? and if not, can someone at least reassure me that it does exist and I haven't imagined it?

I never heard of it. Are you sure it was an "official" release.

"This video was the winner of a 120 Minutes contest for fans to send in videos for any song on Dirty. It was made by an SY fan from Texas named Steven Helweg (not sure of spelling) who got to appear on the show with the band. The actual video is basically dolls made up to look like SY performing the song onstage, including drumsticks on the Thurston puppet's guitar! They also showed clips from fan vids of Swimsuit Issue (a bunch of shirtless men) and Nic Fit (someone running around in a field, then holding up a flaming stuffed animal). This video was shown at absolute most once after initial broadcast. This was all back in 1992, but I'm pretty sure that's how it went. I also remember SY talking about a releasing a compilation of the best entries, but that never happened, I don't know if this was ever released in any way. Hope this helps." "

I have definitely seen this before too... although I can't remember much about it

i know i have it somewhere...i'll try to dig it up...when they had the make a video for dirty contest many years ago..i made a video for that song...i of course didn't win...but i was glad a video of the song showed up anyhow...

I saw it only once on VH1. Liked it a lot, as far as I remember.

it took somebody posting a video capture of this video w/ the credits on screen for me to believe it existed. it was around the time of 'corporate ghost'.. "why isn't the theresa video on here?" .. the theory that it may have been another fan-made competition submission makes sense to me, considering SY didn't include it on 'CG' (and aside from it being the most incredible song ever, why would there need to be an official video for 'theresa'?).

curious if anyone knows more though!

chris,i'm actually glad u know little about it,cuz i have it and other than it was on M2 i know next to nothing about it.i found it!!! i'm uploading it right now..link will be here sometime soon...and hey sonic fans..i'm sorry if y'all thought i'd instantly recover it..but i'm a sonic freak..so i have lots of files laying around...and sadly being a sonic freak is really expensvie..so i work 7 days a week..i'd probably work 8 if i could...anyhow..i appreciate this boards exsistance and i've grabbed some great stuff here..so anytime i can return all the favors i will...when i came home from work today i saw "mil"'s
post and decided to dig deeper til i found it...and i did..i found my version of it too..i'd put that up if anyone is interested..though i might do that on youtube for reasons i'll tell y'all later....anyway...it's a great song...
