A musician whose body of work you love

One musician, not a band.
Ed Kuepper:
- Guitarist for The Saints in the 70's
- Guitarist and vocalist for the Laughing Clowns in the 80's
- Guitarist and vocalist for The Aints in the 90's
- As well as a solo career from 1985 onwards

A random one would be Merzbow because his body of work does need more and more global recognition. They should teach his music in schools and deservedly so.

If I pick just one I'd have to say Fred Frith. In terms of musical output the guy is a monster. In addition to countless solo albums he has collaborated with too many musicians to count and been a vital member of numerous groups such as Naked City, Henry Cow, the Art Bears, Massacre and Skeleton Crew. He excels at both composition and improvisation and is a virtuoso on guitar as well as accomplished performer of various instruments. Genius.

Good question. I was meeting a friend who would rather die than seeing someone like Merzbow live. I have decided to make it a point of going to many more gigs this year 'cause I feel like I've been slacking for the past 2 quite a bit. I'm trying to make it more of a point to my friends that after work they will have to go through sonic torture in order to feel honoured of my presence.
